If the difference between 2 supplementary angles is 40 then find the angles

the angles are 70 and 110

Let the number be x.
And it's supplementary angle be (180-x)
Now a is given that, (180-x) - x = 40
=》 180 - 2x = 40
=》 -2x = -140
=》 x = 70
Hence the angles are 70 and (180-x) =110.
