If the dimensions of a cuboidal swimming pool are 20m x 15m x 4m, find the cost of cementing its floor and walls if the rate of cementing is ₹35 per m^2.

So we are going to do cementing on floor and walls only

Therefore ,we take out the surface area of the walls and room

Surface area=Lateral surface area of room+area of floor

                    =2(l+b)*h

                    =2(20+15)m*4m

                    =8m*35m

                    =  280m^2

Now cost of cementing per m^2=Rs.35

Cost of cementing 280 m^2=Rs.35*280

                                             =Rs.9800
