If the displacement of body is zero, is it necessary that the displacement covered by it also zero.....?? please explain.....!!

sru8: no it is not necessary that distance will also be zero because the intial point and the final point can be the same after covering the distance

displacement = distance/time
here d=0
hence
displacement=0/t
displacement=0
only if distance=0

Distant cant be Zero but displacement can be Zero.
For a object which distance is Zero should be in rest..But if the object is in motion then it must have coverd distant.....
Displacement is the shortest path between starting and finishing point.
If the body covered an distant and come back to the starting point then starting point is only the finishing point where displacement will be Zero..
