if the distance between the earth and sun is increased by 3 times then the attraction attractions between the two will increase/decrease and by what percentage?

F=GMm/r^2


Where,F is inversely proportional to the r^2.


So If you substitute you will get 1/9 as answer


Therefore, percentage change is F1-F2/F1×100


While you substituting in this formula you will get: gravitational force decreased by 89%..


(But how?) Ya!!! I know that …we know that F1 is 1/9 times of F1 -F1/F1×100= -8/9×100= -89% so that's it
