 \sqrt{ {(0 - a)}^{2} +  {(a - 0)}^{2}} = 4 \sqrt{2}

 \sqrt{ {a}^{2} +  {a}^{2}} = 4 \sqrt{2}

a \sqrt{2} = 4 \sqrt{2}

or, a = 4
