if the distance is equal to displacement then the average speed would be equal to the average velocity it is also when it moves in a straight line and in same direction ​

= distance / displacement

time taken

if the distance and displacement are equal then the average velocity and average speed will also be equal to each other.

and distance and displacement are same when the body is moving on a straight path.
