Step-by-step explanation:

We know that a room is in the shape of a cuboid

Therefore,let length(l) = 3x

breadth(b) = 2x

height(h) = 1x = x

(GIVEN) Total surface area(T.S.A.) = 198 sq.m

& we know T.S.A. = 2(lb + bh + hl)

=> 2(lb + bh + hl) = 198sq.m

(NOW FILL IN THE VALUES OF l,b & h FROM ABOVE IN THE ABOVE FORMULA)

2(3x × 2x + 2x × x + x ×3x) = 198

2(6x^2 + 2x^2 + 3x^2) = 198

11x^2 = 198÷2

11x^2 = 99

x^2 = 9

therefore,x = 3m

NOW,We know that ( l = 3x )

Put value of x in ( l = 3x )

therefore, length ( l ) =( 3 × 3)m

= 9m Ans.
