if the first second and fourth strength of a proportion are 1521 and 49 respectively then the third terms of it is

a:b::c:d = product of mean = product of extreme

so first number = 15
second number = 21
third number = X
fourth number = 49

= 15 : 21 :: X : 49
product of mean = product of extreme
= 15 × 49 = 21 × X
so X = ( 15 × 49 ) / 21
= 735 / 21
= 35

third number = 35
