Given,

(first term) a = 6

(common difference) d = 5

So now,let's make an A.P

a = 6

a2 = 6+5 = 11

a3 = 6+2(5) = 6+10=16

a4 = 6+3(5) = 6+15 = 21

A.P = 6,11,16,21,....

(third term) a3 = 16

Given :-

First term = 6

Common difference = 5

To Find :-

The 3rd term of the AP

Solution :-

We know that,

  • a = First term
  • d = Common difference

Given that,

First term (a) = 6

Common difference (d) = 5

According to the question,

The 3rd term of the AP would be,

\sf = a + (3 - 1)d

\sf = a + 2d

\sf = 6 + 2 (5)

\sf = 6 + 10

\sf = 16

Therefore, the third term of AP is 16
