The value of tan ∝ is 4/3

Step-by-step explanation:

here ,

PR = 13 cm

QR = 5 cm = TP

PS = 14 cm

ST = PS - TP

ST = 14-5 = 9 cm

in triangle PQR

using pythagoras theorem

PR² = PQ²+ QR²

13² = PQ² + 5²

PQ² = 169-25

PQ² = 144

PQ = 12 cm

now , PQ = TR = 12 cm

therefore , in triangle TSR

perpendicular  TR  = 12 cm

base  ST = 9 cm

\tan\alpha = \frac{perpendicular}{base}

\tan\alpha = \frac{12}{9} = \frac{4}{3}

hence , The value of tan ∝ is 4/3
