Example:

The heat of neutralization of a week acid (HX) and strong base (MOH) is -11.2kcal/mol .then the heat of dissociation of weak acid is 2.5 kcal/mole

Explanation:

Heat of formation of water is 13.7 kcal

Thus,

      kcal/mole

Given that heat of neutralisation of HX by strong base MOH is -11.2 kcal/mole

Therefore,

     kcal/mole

Adding both the equations

     kcal/mole

Therefore, the heat of dissociation of weak acid is 2.5 kcal/mole

Hope this answer is helpful.
