Himalayas act as the natural boundary for Indian sub-continent. It protects us from cold Arctic winds, stops monsoon laden winds and prevents intrusion from enemies.
If the Himalayas would not have been where they are now, many areas of the country wouldn’t have moderate subtropical climate all the year round. Cold winds would have reduced the temperature below zero in winters along with heavy snow.
Even rains would have affected, leading to poor rainfall all over the subcontinent.

if the would be more difficult for us because we would not have good rainfall and also there would be many changes in the climate also and now the agriculture would seriously get affected that is why the himalayas are important for us
