1) Glucose acts as an energising agent.It can instantly provide energy to our body and helps us in our recovery.

2) Glucose is usually given to a person when he gets dehydrated.

3)It should be given to him untill he is able to take food by his mouth and is able to stand without any support.

2.When the patient is unable to take any food and digest it
   When the patient is subjected to serious dehydration
