( 2x - 10 ) + ( x - 5) = 90°

2x - 10 + x -5 = 90°

3x - 15 = 90°

3x = 90° + 15

3x = 105°

x = 35°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Angles (2x - 10)° and (x - 5)° are complementary angles.

To find: Value of x = ?

Solution:

Let the measure of the angle be x°.

Since, angles are complementary. Two angles, the sum of whose measures is 90°, are called complementary angles :

∴ (2x - 10)° + (x - 5)°= 90°

=> 2x + x - 10° - 5° = 90°

=> 3x - 15° = 90°

=> 3x = 90° + 15°

=> 3x = 105°

=> x = 105°/3

=> x = 35°

Hence,  the value of x is 35°.
