Answer:

initial velocities is 10 m/s

and when it throw vertically upward it will come at rest then its final velocity become zero.

distance = ?

g= 10 m/s × s

now we want to take third equation of motion.

Square of final velocity = square of initial velocity - 2×g ×s .

then we get 5 metre height.
