see the diagram.
THe ouput of a halfwave rectifier is at the same frequency as of the input wave or signal. So it is 60HZ.
THe output of the full wave rectifier contains two peaks in one time period of the input signal. It has two full cycles in one cycle of input signal. So it is twice the input signal frequency : 2 * 60 = 120 hz

GIVEN:
Input frequency applied is of 60Hz
TO FIND:
The output frequency of a half wave rectifier and a full wave rectifier.
SOLUTION:
- The output frequency of half wave rectifier is equal to the input frequency.
f(out) = f(in)
given that input frequency is 60 Hz , then the output frequency of half wave rectifier is also 60 Hz .
Output frequency f(out) = 60 Hz
- The output frequency of full wave rectifier is double the input frequency.
f(out) =2 f(in)
given that input frequency is 60 Hz , then the output frequency of full wave rectifier is also 120 Hz .
Output frequency f(out) = 2× 60
=120 Hz
