if the kinetic energy is increased by 100% that means kinetic energy doubles ...

let's initial kinetic energy is K and initial momentum is P.....

and if final momentum is P'

then

K=P^2 / 2m....................(1)

2K= P'^2 / 2m.................(2)

if equation (2) is divided by equation (1),

2=P'^2 / P^2 onrossi multiplication,

P'^2=2P^2

P' = (2)^1/2 P
