Answer:

length of rectangle = 36 cm

breadth of rectangle = 14 cm

perimeter of rectangle = 2 (L + B)

                                       = 2 (36 + 14)

                                       = 2 * 50

                                       = 100 cm

area of rectangle = L * B

                              = 36 * 14

                             = 504 cm.sq

Given:

✰ Length of Rectangle = 36cm

✰ Breadth of Rectangle = 14cm

To Find:

✠ Area of the rectangle.

✠ Perimeter of the rectangle.

Solution:

Let's understand the concept first. In this problem length and breadth of a rectangle are given and we have to find the area and the perimeter of the rectangle. So, we know that area of rectangle is given by length × breadth and perimeter of rectangle is given by 2(length + breadth). So, let's put the given values in the respective formulas.

Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

➤ Area of Rectangle = 36 × 14

➤ Area of Rectangle = 504 cm²

and,

➤ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(L + B)

➤ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(36 + 14)

➤ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 × 50

➤ Perimeter of Rectangle = 100cm

∴ Area and Perimeter of the rectangle are 504 cm² and 100 cm respectively.
