Area of the rectangular garden -/

= Length × Breadth

= 10 metre × 5 metre

= 50 sq . m

The cost of turfing the garden at the rate

of ₹ 10 per sq . m -/

= Area of garden × Rate of turfing ( m² )

= 50 × 10

= ₹ 500

________________________________

Peremeter of the rectangular garden -/

= 2 ( Length + Breadth )

= 2 ( 10 + 5 )

= 2 ( 15 )

= 2 × 15

= 30 m

Now , the cost of fencing its four sides at the rate of 2 per metre -/

= Peremeter of garden × Rate of fencing ( ₹ 2 / m )

= 30 × 2

= ₹ 60
