AnswEr :

  • Length is 8 m more than the width.
  • The width & length is in the ratio 5:3.
  • Find the width of the plot.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Let the width be n than length will be ( n + 8 ).

According to the Question Now :

↠ (n + 8)/n = 5/3

  • By Cross Multiplying :

↠ 3(n + 8) = 5n

↠ 3n + 24 = 5n

↠ 24 = 5n – 3n

↠ 24 = 2n

↠ 2n = 24

↠ n = 24/2

n = 12

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

D I M E N S I O N S :

◗ Width of plot = n = 12m

◗ Length of plot = ( n + 8 ) = ( 12 + 8 ) = 20m

The width of the plot is 12 m.

let the width be x

length will be x+8

therefore=  x+8/x= 5/3

3x+24=5x

2x=24

x=12m ans
