Answer:

40.5 mm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area= 12.069 cm²

= 1206.9 mm

Length= 29.8 mm

Breadth= Area/Length

= 1206.9/29.8 mm

= 40.5 mm

To find : perimeter of rectangle.

Given : length = 29.8 mm and area = 12.069 \ cm

                        = 2.98 \ cm

Solution :

  • According to question we are given that length and area of rectangle are 2.98 \ cm and 12.069 \ cm respectively. We have to find perimeter of rectangle but firstly we need to find breadth of rectangle.
  • To find area we use following formula -

       Area of rectangle $=l \times b$

  • Substituting the values we get,

        12.069 = 2.98 \times breadth \\breadth = \frac{12.069}{2.98}  \\breadth = 4.05 \ cm

  • To find perimeter we use following formula :

          Perimeter = 2 ( l + b )

                           = 2 ( 2.98 + 4.05 ) \\= 2 \times 7.03 \\= 14.06 \ cm

Hence , perimeter of rectangle is 14.06 \ cm .
