96 = l X b

96= 12x b

b= 8

perimeter = 2(l+b)

2(8+12)

40m

d- 40m is the answer

⇛ Here, the question has given us length that is 12 m and the area of a rectangle that is 96 m². Now, the question has asked us to find its perimeter. So, to find the perimeter of the rectangle, first we need to find the breadth of the rectangle and after it by applying the formula of perimeter of rectangle will can easily find out it's perimeter.

ANSWER:-

➭ The required option is D

➭ Breadth of the rectangle = 8 m

➭ Perimeter of the rectangle = 40 m

GIVEN:-

➢ Length of the rectangle = 12 m

➢ Area of the rectangle = 96 m²

TO FIND:-

➾ Breadth of the rectangle = ?

➾ Perimeter of the rectangle = ?

FORMULA:-

✧ Perimeter = 2(L + B)

WHERE,

  • L = Length
  • B = Breadth
  • A = Area
  • P = Perimeter

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:-

  • Finding breadth:-
  1. Length = 12 m
  2. Area = 96 m²
  3. A = L × B

☞ Let the breadth be b.

☞ 96 = 12 m × b

☞ 96 / 12= b

☞ 8 = b

☞ B = 8 m

To Check:-

☞ Area = L × B

☞ Area = 12 m × 8 cm

☞ Area = 96 m²

Checked ✓.

  • Finding the perimeter:-
  1. Length = 12 m
  2. Breadth = 8 m
  3. Perimeter = 2(L + B)

☞ Perimeter = 2(12 + 8) m

☞ Perimeter = 2 × 20

☞ Perimeter = 40 m

Hence, we got the answer. The perimeter of the rectangle is 40 m. Option d is correct.
