If the length of rectangle is 12 metre more than its breadth point then find the area parameter is 120 m

Solution :

Let the dimensions of a

rectangle :

breadth = b m

length (l) = ( b + 12 )m

Perimeter ( P ) = 120 m

=> 2( l + b ) = 100

=> 2( b + 12 + b ) = 100

=> 2b + 12 = 100/2

=> 2b + 12 = 50

=> 2b = 50 - 12

=> 2b = 38

=> b = 38/2

=> b = 19 m

Now ,

l = b + 12

= 19 + 12

=> l = 31 m

ii ) Area = lb

= 31m × 19m

= 589 m²
