Answer:

the side is 17m and the area of the rhombus is 240msquare

Step-by-step explanation:

diagonal one =30m

diagonal two=16m

to find the side of the rhombus we ,

see the right angle triangle, made by the half of first and half of second diagonal and the side

we also know that all the sides of the rhombus are equal

so

half of the first diagonal=15m

half of the second diagonal=8m

side =x

by following the pythagoras theorm we can find the value of the side

so

side forms the hypotenuse

so hyptenuse square=height square+base square

=>(hypotenue)side square = (height)square of half of first diagonal +(base)square of half of second diagonal

=>x square= 15square+8square

=>xsquare=225+64

=>x square=289

=>x=square root of 289

=>x=17m

so the side =x=17m

now the area of the rhombus =diagonal1*diagonal2*1/2

area of rhombus=(1/2*30*16)msquare

area of rhombus=(15*16)msquare=240msquare
