Let the length of side be x
Applying Pythagoras theorem,
(√3)²+(x/2)²=x²
3+(x²/4)=x²
(12+x²) /4=x²
12+x²=4x²
12=4x²-x²
12=3x²
4=x²
√4=x
2=x
Then length of side is 2cm
