If the length of wire be double then the position of zero deflection in potentiometer is higher.
It would be as potentiometer help in to find the resistance & currently & also telling the verify of ohm's law.

Whenever the length of the wire isdoubled, the potential gradient across the wire will decrease. Because of this, the position of zero deflection willoccur at a longer length.
