Hey...!!!

Observations = 2, 5, 8, x, 5, 6
Its mean = 6
Number of observations = 6
Value of x =
(2 + 5 + 8 + x + 5 + 6)/ 6 = 6
(26 + x)/6 = 6
26 + x = 6 * 6
26 + x = 36
X = 36 - 26
X = 10

So, value of x is 10

Hope it helps...!!!

Answer:

x = 10 \\

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that

Mean =  \frac{sum \: of \: all \: observation}{total \: number \: of \: observation}  \\  \\

Given that

Mean =6

Total numbers =6

6 =  \frac{2 + 5 + 8 + x + 5 + 6}{6} \\  \\ 36 = 15 + x + 11 \\  \\ 36 = x + 26 \\  \\ x = 36 - 26 \\  \\ x = 10 \\  \\

So, value of x is 10.

Hope it helps you.
