If the mean of 6,4,7,p and 10 is 8. Find the value of p.

mean = sum/total
8 = 6+4+7+p+10/5
8 × 5 = 27+p
40 = 27 + p
p = 40 - 27
p = 13

Hii friend,

Observations are 6,4,7,p,10

THEREFORE,

MEAN = SUM OF OBSERVATIONS/ NUMBER OF OBSERVATIONS.

8 = 6+4+7+P+10/5

6+4+7+ P + 10 = 40

p = 40-27

P = 13.

THEREFORE,

P = 13.
