mean \: of \: p \: and \:  \frac{1}{p }  \: is \: M.

Now,  \: mean  \: of  \: p³ \:  and  \:  \frac{1}{ {p}^{3} }  :

(p³ + 1/p³)/2 =

[(p + 1/p)³ - 3p.1/p(p+1/p)]/2

= {(2M)³ - 3(2M)}/2

= 8M³ - 6M/2 = 4M³ - 3M
