Given ,

The data is x , x + 2 , x + 4 , x + 8

Mean of the data = 13

it is know that ,

 \purple{ \star  \:  \large \fbox{ \sf  Mean =  \frac{Sum \:  of  \: observation }{Number  \: of  \: observation}   }}

Substitute the values , we obtain

 \sf \hookrightarrow 13 =  \frac{x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 8}{4}  \\  \\\sf \hookrightarrow 52 = 4x + 14 \\  \\\sf \hookrightarrow 4x = 38 \\  \\ \sf \hookrightarrow x =  \frac{38}{4}  \\  \\\sf \hookrightarrow x = 9.5

Hence , the value of x is 9.5 respectively

Answer:

x=12.75

Step-by-step explanation:

mean = sum of all numbers/n

(where n is total terms)

so, x+x+2+x+4+x+8/5 =13

4x+14=13×5

4x=65-14

x=51/4

x=12.75

hope it to help you
