The particles which will be called flaky, given if the mean sieve size is 8 mm. There are many factors which results in the size of the particle. Such as the shape and size, also the roughness of the particle results in its flakiness.

We can also get that the 3/5th of the mean size of the particles is the minimum size for the particles which will be 4.8. So, the particles of length from 14.4 mm onward will be called as flaky and will not be accepted.
