Given - Comparison of measure of angle

Find - Measure of angles

Solution - Let the supplementary angle be x. So, the measure of angle will be 3x. The sum of supplementary angles is 180°. Representing the given information in mathematical form -

x + 3x = 180

Performing addition

4x = 180

Shifting 4 to Right Hand Side and performing division

x =  \frac{180}{4}

x = 45

Measure of angle = x

Measure of angle = 45°

Measure of supplementary angle = 3x

Measure of supplementary angle = 3*45

Performing multiplication

Measure of supplementary angle = 135°

So, measure of angles are 45° and 135°.
