If the mode of 1, 2, 1, 3, 1,4, 1, 5, 1, 2 is tan theta, then find the value of theta​

The value of θ is 45°.

The mode of 1 , 2, 1, 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 1, 2 is tanθ.

We have to find the value of θ.

Mode :

  • Mode is defined as the value that has the highest frequency in a given set of values.
  • In short, mode is the value that appears the most number of times.

Here, from given data,

It is clear that the value which appears the most number of times is 1 (appears 5 times).

∴ Mode of given data = 1

∵ Mode = tanθ

∴ tanθ = 1 = tan45°

⇒ θ = 45°
