Since we know that

p = √2K.E.m

p² = 2K.E.m

p²∝ K.E.

So when the momentum is increased 3 times, the K.E. will be increased 9 times its original value.

If momentum increase by 3 times, then KINETIC ENERGY will increase by 9 times.

→Kinetic energy (KE) = mv²/2
→Momentum (₱) = mv

#Momentum__(₱) is proportional to (velocity)"v"
#Kinetic energy__(KE) is Proportional to (Square of velocity)"v²"

★If ₱ is increased by 3 times
i.e., "v" is increased by 3 times.

So, KE will increase by 3²(=9) times.

Since Mass is constant.
