Now,

Another new number with 10% increase = 11x/10 + 10% of 11x /10

                                                                   = 11 x /10 + 10/100 *11x /10

So, increase in number = 121x/100 - x = 21x/100

% increase = (21x/100 )/ x *100

                  = 21 %
