Answer:

(5x + 2) - (4x - 1) = (4x -1) - (x - 2)          as they are in A.P.

x + 3 = 3x + 1

3 - 1 = 3x - x

x = 1

answer:

x=2

Step-by-step explanation:

if the numbers x-2,4x-1and 5x+2 are in ap the their common diffrence are equal

consider the term x-2 ....1st term

4x-1...2nd term

5x+2.....3rd term

then

their common diffrenence

2nd term - 1st \: term = 3rd \: term - 2nd \: term

4x - 1 - x - 2 = 5x + 2 - 4x - 1

3x - 3 = x + 1

3x  - x = 3  +  1

2x = 4

x = 2
