The original fraction is 5/18

Given data :

If the numerator is increased by 140% and denominator is increased by 150%, the resultant fraction will be 4/15.

Let, numerator = x

And,denominator = y

According to the question,

{x+(x×140/100)} / {y+(y×150/100)} = 4/15

(x+7x/5)/(y+3y/2) = 4/15

(12x/5)/(5y/2) = 4/15

24x/25y = 4/15

x/y = (4×25)/(15×24)

x/y = (1×5)/(3×6)

x/y = 5/18 (answer)
