Answer:

( P + q - n)

Step-by-step explanation:

tq = q

a + (q - 1)d = q..........(1)

tq = p

a + (q - 1)d = p..........(2)

subtracting (1) from (2)

a + (q + 1)d - a - (p - 1)d = p - q

qd - d - pd + f = p - q

-d+(p - q) = (p - q)

-d = 1

d = -1

put value of d in eq ..(1)

a + (p - 1)(-1) = q

a - p + 1 = q

a = p + q - 1

a = p + q - 1

tn = a + (n - 1)d

p + q - 1 + (n + 1)(-1)

p + q - 1 - n + 1

p + q - 1

proved...
