Answer:

Explanation:

Given :

If the percentage errors in the measurement of mass m and velocity v of a body are 1.5% and 2%, respectively.

Find the percentage errors in the measurement of its momentum P and Kinetic Energy K.

Solution :

Percentage error in product of two quantities = Sum of the percentage of two quantities,

\frac{\Delta Z}{Z} = \frac{\Delta A}{A} + \frac{\Delta B}{B}

We know that ,

Momentum (P) = mv = \frac{1.5}{100} + \frac{2}{100} = \frac{3.5}{100}

Kinetic energy (K) = \frac{1}{2} mv^2 = \frac{1.5}{100} + 2(\frac{2}{100}) = \frac{1.5}{100}+\frac{4}{100}=\frac{5.5}{100}
