Answer:

perimeter here refers to circumference.

circumference of semicircular protector = pie x r

36 = 3.14 x r

36 /3.14 = r

r = 11.46

d = 2 x r

d = 2 x 11.46

d= 22.92cm

the first answer solved by someone is wrong whom u marked brainliest.

to croos check my answer u can see if r = 11.46 then

circumference = 3.14 x 11.46

=35.98

=36(approximately)

mark this as branliest

{\mathcal{\purple{A}\green{N}\pink{S}\blue{W}\purple{E}\green{R}\pink{!}}}

\displaystyle\huge\red{\underline{\underline{Solution}}}perimeter of a semicircular protractor

= perimeter of a semicircle = (2r+πr)cm [given]

2r+πr=36

$$\begin{lgathered}r \times \frac{36}{7} = 36 \\ r = 7 \\\end{lgathered}$$

diameter = 2r =2×7=14cm

so, the diameter of a semicircle protector is 14 cm .
