one side= 3x+5

second side= 2x-3

let the third side be y

so, 3x + 5 + 2x - 3 + y = 8x - 7

5x + 2 + y = 8x - 7

(since like terms can be added and Sunbtracted)

y = 8x - 7 - 5x - 2

y = 3x - 9

so, option (d) 3x - 9 is the right answer.

hope it will help you
