here is the solution................

perimeter of square =  32cm

4 * side = 32

side = 32/4

side = 8cm

now each side is increased by 3.5 cm

=> new side = 8 +3.5 cm

=> new side = 11.5 cm

now area of the square with new side = side *side

=> 11.5 * 11.5

=>area of resultant figure =  132.25cm²
