Given : perpendicular sides of a right angled triangle are 8cm and 12cm long

To Find : what is the area of that right angled triangle

Solution:

Area of  a triangle = (1/2) * base * height

perpendicular sides of a right angled triangle are 8cm and 12cm long

Hence base = 8 cm

height = 12 cm

Area of  triangle = (1/2) * 8 * 12

= 8 * 6

= 48  cm²

area of that right angled triangle is 48  cm²
