Answer:

We know the total length of the cloth which is 6m

Now she used 3m 75cm for stiching her skirt and the remaining to stich her shirt.

So basically we need to find the leftover cloth which she used to stich her shirt.

For an easier method, Convert Metre into centimetre.

6 m = 600 cm ( 6 x 100 cm = 600).

3.75m = 375 cm ( 3.75 x 100 cm = 375)

Note - Always remember that in multiplication of decimals, the decimal always moves to the RIGHT.

Cloth used to stich her shirt = 600 cm - 375 cm)

= 225 cm.

Now convert it back to metre is according to you.

But i will do it here,

225/100 cm = 2.25 m

Note - In division, The decimal moves to the Left.

The Answer of your question = Renu used 2.25 m to stich her shirt

Hope it helps
