the point (2,5 ) lies in the 1st quadrant

where 2, &5 are positive

now ,

where

$x = 2 \: \: and \: \: y = 5$

put in equation

$3y = ax + 5 \\ \\ x = 2 \\ y = 5 \\ 3 \times 5 = a \times 2 + 5 \\ \\ 15 = 2a + 5 \\ \\ 10 = 2a \\ \\ a = \frac{10}{2} \\ \\ a = 5$

hence proved , a= 5
