If the point (3,4) lies on the graph of equation 3y = ax+7,find he value of a.

The equation is
3y = ax + 7 .....(i)

Since the point (3,4) lies on (i), it satisfies (i).

Then
3.4 = a.3 + 7
or, 3a = 12 - 7
or, 3a = 5
or, a = 5/3

3y = ax + 7 ,. 3×4=3a + 7
a = 5÷3
a = 1•66 ( approx) ... i think it may help u
