If the point C (-1,2) divides internally the line-segment joining the points A(2,5) and B(x,y) in the ratio 3 : 4 then find the value of x² + y²

Hello,your answer is;
[2*4+x*3/(3+4)],[5*4+y*3/(3+4)];
[8+3x/(7)],[20+3y/(7)];
[8x+3/(7)=(-1);],[20+3y/(7)=2];
on solving,we get,
x=(-4/3); y=(-2);
now, (x*x)+(y*y);
=[(-3/4)*(-3/4)]+[(-2)*(-2)];
=[16/9+4];
=[(16+36)/9];
=52/9;
