Given :  the point C(x,3) divides the line segment points A(2,6) and B(5,2) in the ratio 2 : 1 then the value of x is

To Find :  Value of x

Solution:

t points A(2,6) and B(5,2) in the ratio 2 : 1

x = (2 * 5 + 1 * 2)/(2 + 1)

=> x = ( 12/3)

=> x = 4

3 = ( 2 * 2 + 1 * 6 ) /(2 + 1)

=> 3 = 10/3

Which is incorrect

Hence Dats is wrong

(x , 3) should be     (x , 10/3)
