if the point of intersection of a more than type and a less than type ogive of a grouped data is ( 27, 12 ) than what is the total frequency of the data ?

Solution:

The point of intersection of less than Ogive and more than Ogive gives the value of median.

As you must keep in mind that median is equidistant from initial value as well as Final value.

As given,  point of intersection of a more than type and a less than type ogive of a grouped data = ( 27, 12 )

Sum of frequency is 27 that is half of total frequency.

If Sum of all frequency = n, then

\frac{n}{2}=27 \\\\ n= 2 \times 27= 54
