Answer:

we know p(2,-7)which meansp(x,y)

therefore x=2,y=-7

4x+my=22

4(2)+(-7)m =22

8-7m=22

-7m=22-8

-7m=14

m=-2 is the answer..

Answer:

The value of m = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

  • If the point lies on the line then it should satisfy the equation.
    4x+my=22
  • So according tho the Question x = 2 and y = -7
  • Putting these values in the equation we get
    4*2+m*(-7) = 22\\22-8 = -7m\\-2 = m
  • Hence we get the value of m = -2
